3D Printing

At Theropodia, 3D printing is at the heart of our approach to paleontological reproduction and restoration. Thanks to digital modeling and the latest printing technologies, we faithfully recreate specimens from the past, from the smallest bone fragment to life-size reproductions.

Our techniques and equipment

From digitization to printing, a mastered process from end to end

High-precision 3D scanner

Our scanner captures every detail of your specimens with tenth-of-a-millimeter precision. Cracks, textures, reliefs: nothing escapes digitization.

Digital modeling

The scanned data is processed and optimized by our specialists. We correct, complete and prepare each model for a printing faithful to the original.

Printing and finishing

Our 3D printers produce detailed reproductions in different materials. Each piece is then hand-painted and patinated for striking realism.

Whatever your project, we can make it happen. Reproduction of a rare fossil, completion of a partial skeleton, creation of a life-size replica for a museum or event: our team adapts to all requests, from bone fragment to complete reconstruction.

What our clients say

Specimens restored with passion and precision.

Impeccable reproduction of a trilobite that I no longer dared to handle. The 3D copy is stunningly realistic, every detail of the shell has been faithfully reproduced. I recommend without hesitation.

The life-size velociraptor was the star of our fossil fair. Quick installation, incredible finishing and a guaranteed wow effect with the public. Thanks to the whole team!

Georges B. Event Organizer

I ordered fossil replicas for my paleontology classes at high school. Students can finally handle realistic specimens safely. A wonderful educational tool.

Camille D. Biology Teacher

Théo reproduced a megalodon tooth from photos and measurements. The result is striking, the texture and proportions are of remarkable precision. Master craftsmanship.

Maxime L. Paleontology enthusiast

A 1:1 scale tyrannosaurus skull now sits in the hall of a hotel I designed. The patina is magnificent, it looks like a real fossil. My clients are amazed.
